Use Case · Airsoft, Paintball & Milsim

Run the game on a live tactical map

Put every player on one shared map, run objectives and respawn zones in real time, and keep teams talking across fields that outrun cell coverage. TAK server, mesh, and a portable server — the same tactical stack the pros use, turned into a game engine for airsoft, paintball, and milsim.

The problem

Big fields, no cell, no shared picture

A serious airsoft or milsim game spreads two teams across acres of woods and structures with no cell service, and the game itself — objectives, zones, who holds what — lives on a whiteboard and a couple of overworked radios. MAGK turns the field into a live tactical map every player carries, running on a portable server you set up for the event.

What you can do

What the game gets

Team play

Every player on one map, by team

Live positions for your side on a shared map from any TAK client, group-scoped so the opposing team never sees your movements — the same visibility rule that keeps real tasking compartmented.

  • Live friendly positions across your whole team
  • Group-scoped visibility — opponents never see your side
  • Standard CoT — runs on the phones players already carry
  • Admins see all teams; players see only their own

Objectives

Objectives and zones, live

Place objectives, capture points, respawn zones, and safe zones on the map, and update the game state in real time as points are taken and the scenario develops.

  • Objectives, capture points, and flags on the shared map
  • Respawn and safe zones marked for every player
  • Update the game state live as objectives change hands
  • Attach briefings and imagery to a located objective

Comms

Talk across the whole field

Text and voice ride the MAGK Net mesh with no cell service, so squads coordinate across a field far bigger than a handheld radio reliably covers.

  • Text and voice with no cellular dependency
  • Team-scoped channels keep chatter off the other side
  • Messages queue in dead zones and send on reconnect
  • Coverage extends as players and relays spread across the field

Portable server & rentals

Set up per event

A portable server hosts the game on site, so it works with no internet at all — and MAGK offers hosted-event rentals so you can spin up a server just for a weekend game without owning the hardware.

  • Full game map and comms with no internet on site
  • Devices connect to the portable server over MAGK Net
  • Rent a hosted event server for a single game or weekend
  • Tear it down when the game is over

How it connects

TAK, Net, and Devices working together

The shared picture, the connection that carries it, and the kit that runs it in the field.

  1. MAGK TAK

    The shared picture

TAK server and client. Team positions, objectives, respawn zones, and group-scoped visibility, spoken over standard Cursor on Target.

  2. MAGK Net

    The connection

Mesh radio that carries the game map, text, and voice across a field far bigger than a handheld radio covers.

  3. MAGK Devices

    The field kit

A portable server and end-user hardware, hostable per event as a rental. Runs the game on site and links players into the mesh.

Every player connects to the portable server over MAGK Net. The server runs the game on site, so it works with no internet. Rent a hosted event server for a single weekend, or run your own — either way, the whole field shares one live tactical map.
